Welcome to Duck N Cover: The Blog

This is our first post for our new blog and honestly I'm not even sure what a blog is... but here we go.

Being that this is the first post I'm going to go into a little bit of what we do at Duck N Cover. To put it simply, we paint. Anything and everything. Specifically, we paint using Cerakote which is a polymer-ceramic coating manufactured by NIC Industries. Cerakote is a super thin film that is sprayed on wet just like automotive paint but then baked to hardness like powdercoat. The benefit to this is a 1-2 mil thick coating (a mil is .0001 inches) that has amazing hardness and superior chemical and corrosion resistance.

Not only will it protect whatever its applied to, but its also available in over 300 colors!

What we do is "coat" your firearm, auto parts etc. in any way, shape, pattern you can dream up.

This stuff is so good that the ATF requires us to hold a class 7 FFL for manufacturing firearms because it actually extends the natural life of the gun.
